Greenfield's Classic Lanes Will Host Senior Olympic Bowling

Greenfield's Classic Lanes will host the bowling segment of this year's Wisconsin Senior Olympics in August.

GREENFIELD, WI— Classic Lanes in Greenfield will once again host the Wisconsin Senior Olympics bowling event with single and doubles leagues, and the opportunity to move ahead to a national competition in Florida next year, according to a Facebook post from Classic Lanes.

The bowling competition, one of the first competitions of this year's Senior Olympics, will run singles on August 10, doubles on August 11 and mixed doubles on August 12, according to the official Senior Olympics calendar.

Classic Lanes will host the bowling competition at 5404 West Layton Avenue in Greenfield.

The event is part of the annual Wisconsin Senior Olympics. Each year, Wisconsin Senior Olympics hosts competitions for anyone 40 or older across the state, according to its website. Basketball, cornhole, cycling, power walking, pickleball, shuffleboard, tennis and many other sports are among the competitions being held this summer by the organization.

Matches will be spread out across the state, and each sport has a separate registration. Participants must register for the bowling event by July 27, according to the official Senior Olympics calendar.

The top three competitors in the bowling competition will receive a medal, and top players could also qualify for the bi-annual National Games, the Wisconsin Senior Olympics website said.
