Hales Corners Elementary's Knowledge-A-Thon Fun For All

Students at Hales Corners Elementary enjoyed the second annual Knowledge-A-Thon fundraiser Feb. 7.

Students came to the school’s gymnasium to answer questions right from their curriculum. K4 students answered 10 questions, K5 answered 25 and Grades 1-5 answered 50 questions across all academic areas, including art, music, guidance and physical education.

Prior to the event, the students collected pledges from friends and family. Individuals can pledge a certain amount per correct answer or a make a flat donation.

Students had a ton of fun while many wore their favorite "thinking caps/crazy hats."

Students raised $3,000 during the first Knowledge-A-Thon in 2013. This year’s total was not known at time of publication.
