Hayat Pharmacies Burglarized - 17 Times in Last Month Alone

Police are reporting that it's the same four suspects that are staging the burglaries - but they may be coming to an end.

MILWAUKEE COUNTY -- They Hayat Pharmacy branch on S. 27th St. was burglarized Thursday morning, when a group of suspects ransacked the place, stealing a highly-addictive cough medication.

Burglaries are nothing new, but for the Hayat pharmacy chain, it was the 17th time their pharmacies were burglarized in the last month alone.

One of the suspects was reportedly wrestled to the ground at Hayat's location at 54th and Capitol Drive on Wednesday night.

According to a report by Fox 6, pharmacy owner Hashim Zaibak says Greenfield police arrested two more suspects. Even after thousands of dollars in damages, broken windows, replaced doors and lost inventory -- Zaibak's kindness remains intact.

Managers have now taken extra precaution of putting the promethazine with codeine locked in a safe -- much to the dismay of the suspects, Fox 6 is reporting.
