How to Register to Vote in Greenfield

In honor of National Voter Registration Day, here's how and where to register as a new voter in Greenfield.

If you haven’t yet registered to vote, get it off your to-do list now.

Today is National Voter Registration Day, and thousands of local, state and national organizations have mobilized to make sure millions of people don’t miss the chance to cast their vote in this year’s elections.

Six million people didn’t vote in the 2008 elections because they either did not know how to register or because they missed the voter registration deadline.

In Wisconsin, here are some deadlines for registering to vote:

  • To register to vote by mail, your form must be postmarked by Oct. 20 and mailed to your local clerk: Greenfield City Hall City Clerk’s Office, 7325 W. Forest Home Avenue, Rm. 102, Greenfield, WI 53220
  • To register to vote in person before the election, you must go to your local clerk's office by 5 p.m. Friday, Nov. 2
  • You can register at the polls on the same day as the election, Tuesday, Nov. 6

Here is more information from the state's Government Accountability Board about registering as a first-time Wisconsin voter.
