
Alverno College has begun the season 3-0 for just the second time in school history, thanks to a 10-0 victory over visiting Robert Morris University-Lake County Tuesday evening.
Rookie-forward Samantha Devcich netted the first three scores of the game (2', 6', 7') for a natural hat trick in just over six minutes which began the bombardment of Inferno goals.
Hayley Serketich (12', 25') and Nava Moniriarani (18', 30') traded off scoring for the next four goals for a 7-0 lead, before Moniriarani blasted her third (35') from 15 yards out for a hat trick of her own.

Neysel Powell found the back of the net for her first goal of the season in the 44th minute, before Elizabeth Terrones scored the 10th and final goal in the game's 79th minute.
The Inferno dominated possession of the ball nearly the entire game and fired off 40 shots, while the Inferno defense didn't allow the Eagles (0-1) to get off a shot.

Alverno will look to become the first team in school history to begin the season 4-0 as it hits the road for the first time this year Sunday. Illinois Institute of Technology hosts the Inferno for a 1:30 p.m. kickoff in Chicago.
