Meanwhile, at Whitnall, the girls basketball team suffered a 33-29 loss to visiting New Berlin West.

Whitnall's Rachael Shulta converted a layup off a steal with less that 30 seconds left to close it to 31-29. The Vikings added two more, and with 11 seconds left, Whitnall missed a shot and a put-back attempt that fell short.

"The girls played hard, and defensively gave a solid effort," Whitnall coach Keith Larson said. "I thought we handled their post players well, limiting their touches. West just plays such solid half-court defense, it was difficult to get a good offensive flow going."

Shulta led Whitnall (6-3, 3-2) with 13 points and Ashley Markowiak added 11.
