Local Runner Qualified for Today's Boston Marathon

More than 26,000 runners hit the streets of Boston today for Monday's running of the historic Boston Marathon.

Among those who qualified for the race was Greenfield's Lisa Farr-Chowanec, who was one of 432 Wisconsinites to earn a spot in the race.

According to the Boston Athletic Association, 11,152 women qualified for the race, including 1,749 in the 45-49 age group Farr-Chowanec is a part of.
