Local Softball, Soccer Teams Receive Postseason Assignments

Local softball and soccer teams now know their postseason fates.

In softball, in Sectional 8, third-seeded Greenfield will host 14^th-seeded Milwaukee South in a regional semifinal game at at a time to be determined. The winner will play sixth-seeded South Milwaukee or 11^th-seeded Milwaukee Pulaski in a regional final on Thursday, June 2, time and location to be determined.

In Sectional 6, seventh-seeded Whitnall will take on 10^th-seeded Waukesha West at Schoetz Park in Hales Corners on May 31, with the winner advancing to play the winner of Tuesday’s Watertown-West Allis Central showdown in a regional final June 2. Watertown is seeded second; Central is seeded 15^th.

In soccer regional semifinals, which are slated for Thursday, June 2, 10^th-seeded Whitnall will visit seventh-seeded Kettle Moraine at 6:30 p.m. The winner will advance to play second-seeded Muskego or sixth-seeded Greendale in a regional final Saturday, June 4.

In another semifinal, unbeaten and top-seeded Waukesha West will host 16th-seeded Greenfield at 4:30 p.m. The Sun Prairie-Waukesha North winner would await West or Greenfield in a regional final June 4.
