Massive Development Project in Greenfield Gets Final Approval

Mayor likens Greenfield's future 84South development to Oak Creek's Drexel Town Square

GREENFIELD — A massive mixed-use development just south of I-894 and west of S. 84th St. in Greenfield is finally becoming a reality.

According to an article published by the Milwaukee Biz Times, construction on the 40-acre 84South development will begin in July.

Scott Yauck, president and CEO of Cobalt Partners, who is leading the project, told the Biz Times this week that 10 of the 11 tenants are committed.

The plans include more than 250,000 square feet for shops and restaurants as well as 350 market-rate apartment units.

Yauck said 84South has gotten "a lot of national retail interest, including tenants that would be new the the Milwaukee area and big-box retailers" according to the Biz Times.
