Meet Milwaukee Animal Rescue Centers top 10!

This time every year, the Milwaukee Animal Rescue Center is bursting at the seams with kittens.  Thanks to the generosity of it’s amazing network of foster homes, the Center has been able to save countless litters of kittens.

The good news…kittens are adopted quickly.  In fact, most are adopted directly from their foster home, never having to stay at the Center.  The bad news…as the kittens come and go, many fantastic adult cats sit and wait.

Let me introduce you to ten beautiful adult females.  Most had kittens of their own….all which have been adopted.  Now, IT'S THEIR TURN!!

Marissa and her 4 babies entered the adoption program in November.  She is around 9 years old, and loves when the volunteers play with her string toys.  She is looking for a home as the only pet.

Phoebe entered the adoption program in January with her 2 babies.  At approximately 2 years old, this sweet girl is full of big purrs and tiny meows.  She prefers the company of humans to other cats, so Phoebe would like to be the only pet in her home.

Norah was pregnant when she entered the adoption program in March.  She did an amazing job raising her 4 beautiful kittens, and is now ready for adoption.   She is approximately 2 years old and is happy to spend her days gazing out a sunny window.

Victoria entered the adoption program in March with her 4 babies, which she loved more than anything.  She’s approximately 2 years old and would love to find a home with another feline companion.

Olive transferred to the Center from another shelter in April.  Playful and friendly, she is just about as sweet as they come.  This green-eyed beauty is about 1.5 years old and has lived with dogs in the past.

Harper entered the adoption program in April after having been rejected from other shelters for being diabetic.  She’s looking for a family that will maintain her health with a daily dose of insulin and strict diet.  At 2 years old, Harper has many years of love to give in return.

Rhoda has been in the adoption program since April.  She has never met a lap she didn’t like, and she shares the love with everyone she meets.  She is a longhaired calico/tabby, about 2 years old, and a polydactyl (extra toes!).

Sally came to the adoption center in May.  This girl has the softest fur and the most striking gold eyes.  She loves being brushed and goes crazy for her wand toy.  When she tires herself out, she burrows under her blanket for a nap.  Sally is 1.5 years old.

Charlize just entered the adoption program in June.  She settled in quickly and enjoys getting attention.  Only about 9 months old, she is cuddly and playful and would mostly likely do well in a home with other pets.

Vera arrived at the adoption center in June, but has been waiting for a home for over a year.  (she’s only 2)  She was abandoned at her veterinarian’s office, where she’d lived until coming to the Center.  So far she’s been fairly quiet, but she does love to play with her feather toy.

All cats available at the Milwaukee Animal Rescue Center are spayed/neutered, tested for diseases (FeLV/FIV), vaccinated, microchipped, treated for fleas, worms, and any other illness/injury as necessary.  The adoption fee is $100.  For a full listing of adoptable animals, please visit www.milwaukeearc.org.

The Center, located at 51st & Loomis Rd. in Greenfield is open Tuesdays & Thursdays from 3-7pm and Saturdays 12-3pm.
