Milwaukee Fourth of July Weekend Planner

MILWAUKEE, WI — The Fourth of July weekend on Milwaukee's lakefront is filled with activities for the whole family. Here is your quick guide to what's happening:

July 2 - A pig roast will be held at the Gift of Wings Kite Shack in Veterans Park, 3-6pm

July 3 - Parking at Veterans Park begins at 6am ($20 per parking spot used). Beer, food and wine will be available to purchase throughout the day. Inflatable jump houses and bicycle rentals also available.

The Fireworks Kite Festival, featuring the 150 ft long Giant Kites of Yves LaForest, will be held from from 11:00 a.m. until 6:30 p.m., a kite flying trainer will also be on hand to help and teach people to fly kites.

The hour-long US Bank fireworks show will start at dusk, around 9:25pm

Traveling Beer Gardens (at Grant Park and McCarty Park), South Shore Terrace and Whitnall Park Beer Garden will be open 11 a.m.-10 p.m.

July 4 - South Shore Terrace, Whitnall Park Beer Garden and Traveling Beer Gardens at McCarty Park will be open 11 a.m.-10 p.m.

The South Milwaukee July 4 celebration will be held at Grant Park Traveling Beer Garden (picnic area #5). The South Milwaukee Mayor's Picnic will be from 11:30 a.m. with live music, food and games. A fireworks display is scheduled for 9:30 p.m.

City of Milwaukee celebrations and fireworks will be held in several Milwaukee County Parks: Gordon Park, Humboldt Park, Jackson Park, Lake Park, Lincoln Park, Mitchell Park, Noyes Park, Sherman Park, Washington Park, Wilson Park.

All Milwaukee County Golf Courses are open on July 4. Golfers can book a special July 4 deal - 18 holes plus a $10 beverage voucher for only $39 at Brown Deer Golf Club or $29 at Dretzka Park Golf Course.
