Oak Creek Man Run Down In Greendale

An Oak Creek man was arrested in Greendale after attempting to flee police at a high rate of speed in a residential area.

GREENFIELD, WI — An Oak Creek man was arrested in Greendale after attempting to flee police at a high rate of speed in a residential area.

According to police reports, a Greenfield police officer attempted to initiate a traffic stop on a vehicle driven by Shawn Michael Zoboroski-Conn on July 27. Zoboroski-Conn's vehicle quickly accelerated away from the officer’s squad car at a high rate of speed, ignoring signals to stop. The pursuit of the vehicle lasted approximately 0.4 miles and reached speeds of 54 miles per hour in a residential zone.

The officer performed a PIT maneuver which caused Zoboroski-Conn's vehicle to spin out and stop. After the vehicle became disabled, Zoboroski-Conn exited the vehicle and ran on foot, ignoring the officer’s commands. A search of the vehicle revealed paperwork belonging to Zoboroski-Conn, his criminal complaint stated.

The officer observed a Department of Transportation photo of a person by that name and determined that it was the same person who had fled from him in the vehicle and ran on foot, Zoboroski-Conn, according to his criminal complaint.

Zoboroski-Conn was found and later arrested by Greendale Department officer and gave a Mirandized statement admitting to the fleeing because he was scared after seeing all the police emergency lights. Zoboroski-Conn also admitting to running away on foot because he was scared, according to reports.
