Ryan has been traveling around his southeastern Wisconsin district the last several days holding the same type of town hall-style meeting that will take place in Greenfield at 3 p.m. Thursday.Β

Several meetings have been moved to larger venues to accommodate the crowds. A standing room-only audience has shown up at most of his visits, including yesterday in Lake Geneva, as theΒ Associated Press reported.Β

According to news accounts, Ryan begins each meeting with a 15- to 20-minute PowerPoint presentation, and then opens the floor for comments and questions. Thursday's meeting is scheduled to last one hour and 15 minutes.
What kind of dialogue should attendees expect? You never know what might happen. Ryan was actually booed last weekΒ in a meeting in Elkhorn, and some voters in his districtΒ are queasy about his proposal for MedicareΒ and other parts of his highly toutedΒ budget plan.
It also seems likely that Democratic-leaning people, both from Greenfield and out of town, will make a point to attend the hearing, too.Β
But no matter what happens, it's hard to imagine tomorrow being boring.Β
