To Parkland With Love: Greenfield Students Send Support

GREENFIELD, WI — When students at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School return to class this week, it will be for the first time since a horrific shooting left 17 of their classmates dead.

But as they walk through the hallways, they will be greeted by banners made by fellow students from across the U.S. who are sending their love and support. Among these banners will be one that reads "Birds Stick Together: Greenfield Hawks Support You, Stoneman Douglas Eagles."

According to a CBS 58 report, the idea for the banner came from a group of art students who wanted to do something special for the Florida high schoolers.

When administrators at the Florida school posted on social media that they prefer people send banners in favor of individual letters, which they do not have the manpower to handle, Greenfield High School students decided to put together a banner.

Over the last week, art students at Greenfield High School created a banner, and the entire student body added their names and messages of support.

“I want all of the Florida kids to know that we’re all here for them and that the whole country is backing them on this and that they’re not alone,” Greenfield High School sophomore Jenna Feeder said in a CBS 58 report.
