84 South, a mixed-used development whose plans include more than 250,000 square feet for shops and restaurants as well as 350 market-rate apartment units is downsizing.
According to a report by the Milwaukee Business Journal, four-story apartment units containing 360 units are going to now be three stories tall and amount to 268 units. And instead of 426 underground parking places, 84South would now have 274.
According to the Business Journal's report, the amount that Greenfield would have to finance to build the 426 underground parking spaces was found to be too much, resulting in adjusting downward the scope of the apartment project.
