Pregnant Mom with 2 Children Overdoses on Heroin; Gas Station Customers Call Police

Customers at a Speedway Gas Station called police on a pregnant woman after she had reportedly overdosed on Heroin and could not drive.

GREENFIELD, WI — Customers at a Speedway Gas Station in Greenfield, Wis. called police on a woman after she had reportedly overdosed on Heroin and looked like she could not drive.

That woman, Natalie Reszczynski, 37, of Milwaukee, was also seven months pregnant and was traveling with her two children, ages three and five, police said..
According to police Reszczynski showed up at the Speedway Gas Station at 3390 W. Loomis Rd. with her two children, ages 3 and 5. Customers became concerned because the expectant mother "appeared so altered that they were concerned that she would leave with the children."

Police arrived on the scene moments later, and Reszyzynski was located sitting in her vehicle with the children in the parking lot of the gas station, according to her criminal complaint.

According to police, there were no car seats in the car for the children, and when officers spoke with the her, her pupils were extremely constricted and her eyelids were “droopy.” She initially denied any drug usage but shortly after admitted to snorting $10.00 worth of heroin approximately one hour ago.

Reszyzynski was transported to the hospital where she was administered Narcan. After she received the anti-heroin drug, she no longer appeared altered and she agreed to give a statement to police, according to her criminal complaint.

According to her complaint, she admitted that while she was in the Speedway, she had a hard time maintaining her balance and felt like she was going to black out. She stated that she has not overdosed on heroin in the past and that she snorted the same amount of heroin that she usually does. She noticed that the heroin she received today was darker brown than it normally is.

According to the complaint, police noted that Reszyzynski is currently approximately 7 months pregnant. She was held at the hospital for observation.
She is currently charged with two counts of child neglect, and is due in court on Feb, 7.
