Property Owners Have Less Than a Week to Appeal Assessments

Don't believe your property was assessed properly or fairly?

The deadline to appeal your assessment is approaching rapidly.

According to the City of Greenfield's website, those who wish to appeal an assessment must appear at the Board of Review, which will hold an initial meeting Tuesday, May 24, and will begin hearing objections Tuesday, June 11.

To be heard by the Board of Review, objectors are required to provide the city clerk’s office with at least a 48-hour notice of intent to file. That deadline is 8:30 a.m. Sunday, May 22. If you wish to file your paperwork in the clerk’s office in person, you must do so prior to 5 p.m. Friday, May 20.
