Rezoned Land Opens Door for Ridge Community Church

The Ridge Community Church moved one step closer to finding a permanent home Tuesday.

The Greenfield Common Council voted 4-1 in favor of rezoning land in the 9500/9700 blocks of Layton Avenue as institutional at the council's meeting at City Hall.

Alderman Thomas Pietrowski voted against the move that paves the way for a 23,000-square-foot church, whose officials .

The church previously held prayer services at The Ridge Cinema in New Berlin and has been operating out of for the last year and a half.

Next up for the church is a return visit to the city's Plan Commission to finalize .
