Skywest Airplane Bound for Minneapolis Makes Emergency Landing at Mitchell Airport

BREAKING: According to reports, the Skywest Airlines flight 4594 took off from Milwaukee at 6:33 a.m. but the plane was turned around.

MILWAUKEE — A Skywest Airlines plane bound for Minneapolis made an emergency landing at Mitchell International Airport early Thursday after the plane suffered an unspecified mechanical problem.

According to a report from WISN 12, the plane departed from Mitchell — when the crew reported possible mechanical issues and returned to the airport. The plane landed safely and taxied back to the gate.

According to reports, the Skywest Airlines flight 4594 took off from Milwaukee at 6:33 a.m. but turned the plane around, and landed safely at 7:02 a.m. WISN 12 is reporting.

WISN has learned that the plane was taken out of serviceand replaced by another aircraft that is scheduled to fly to Minneapolis at 12:20 p.m. According to Skywest, passengers will either take the newly-assigned plane or will take other options.
