Snakes, Gators All Seized From Home After Incident
Homeowner in St. Francis reportedly bit in the face by snake; authorities initiated animal control response

ST. FRANICS - At least a half-dozen snakes, two alligators, several lizards and a tarantula were seized by animal control officials Tuesday night and Wednesday morning from a residence in St. Francis after the homeowner was bit by one of the snakes.
According to a report by the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, animal control officials said this was the third time they responded to the home of Jeremy Loveland in the 4200 block of S. Clement Ave.
A seizure like this doesn't happen all the time, but it's not unprecedented, MADACC field officer supervisor John McDowell told the Journal Sentinel.

"If you stop to think about it, what some of your neighbors are keeping in their houses, it should scare the hell out of you," McDowell said in the story.

Loveland was reportedly treated at a hospital after being bitten in the face by what he said was a water moccasin.
Despite local ordinances barring exotic animals, there is no state law prohibiting it, McDowell said to the Journal Sentinel, and people who are determined to buy them can find a ready market.
