A female who came to the police department on a report that her cat was stolen was taken into custody on an outstanding warrant for inattentive driving and operating a motor vehicle without insurance. Walmart Says Man Sleeping in Car is OK

Police advised a man after it was noticed that he appeared to be sleeping in a black SUV in the parking lot near the Walgreens and McDonalds. Greenfield police made contact with the person, who appeared to be laying down in the back of the vehicle. The man stated he had been living out of his car and sleeping in the Walmart lot for the past few months with Walmart's permission. Police made contact with Walmart management who stated he was allowed to sleep in the parking lot.
