Man Arrested In Connection With Fatal West Allis Hit And Run: PD

A man was arrested in connection with a hit and run that killed a 20-year-old Milwaukee woman on S. 108th Street on Tuesday, police said.

WEST ALLIS, WI — A 54-year-old man from Milwaukee was arrested in connection with the fatal crash where a car struck a pedestrian on 3200 108th Street in West Allis early Tuesday morning, the West Allis Police Department said in a news release Wednesday.

Calls filtered into the department around 6:30 a.m. that day informing police that a pedestrian was struck by a car. Police and firefighters aided the victim, but she died on the scene, police said Tuesday.

Police say the victim, who the family identified to CBS 58 as Donniesha Harris, was crossing the street when she was struck.

The circumstances surrounding the crash are still under investigation, the news release on Wednesday said. Police did not identify the suspect in the news release.

Harris had ambitions of becoming a doctor in the future, her mother, Marshal Jackson-Noblin, told CBS 58.
