Walmart Video Game Thief 'Body Slammed By Random Guy:' Report
By the time police arrived at the Greenfield Walmart, reports say the apparent thief was being held down by the man who body slammed him.

GREENFIELD, WI -- A Wauwatosa man has been charged after police say he tried stealing video games from a Greenfield Walmart - but not before he was body slammed by a "random guy" before he could make his getaway.
According to a criminal complaint filed in Milwaukee County, police were called to the Walmart at 10600 W. Layton Ave. in Greenfield on a report of what appeared to be a routine retail theft case.
When police arrived at the Walmart, the officer reported seeing the apparent thief, identified by authorities as Christopher J. Simpson of Wauwatosa, being held down by a concerned citizen.

According to reports, when the officer asked Simpson what happened, he told the officer that he tried to steal some video games, but during his getaway, was body slammed by a concerned citizen - the same person who was holding him down when police arrived.
According to the criminal complaint, a loss prevention officer at Walmart told police that Simpson tried stealing between 10 and 15 video games that had been set aside from another customer. He covered the video games with his clothing and attempted to leave the store.

According to reports, Simpson admitted to police that he tried leaving the Walmart with the stolen video games, but was body slammed by a "random guy." The total value of the video games is estimated to be approximately $274.12.
If convicted, Simpson could face up to nine months in jail or up to a $10,000 fine - or both.
