Whitnall Girls Basketball Team Enters Break With Win
The Falcons defeated Wauwatosa West on Friday.

In a game that could help determine third place in the Woodland Conference Black Division, the team rode a fast start to a convincing win over Wauwatosa West at home Friday, Jan. 13.
The host Falcons jumped out to a 20-8 first-quarter lead and remained consistent throughout in a 63-46 win over the Trojans that raised their overall record to 8-5 and their league mark to 5-4, a half-game better than Tosa West for third place.
"It was a good way to go into exam week week with a good, solid performance," Whitnall coach Keith Larson said.

Whitnall's Ashley Markowiak set the tone with 21 points, Rachael Shulta added 15, including three 3-pointers and Elena Busalacchi had 10 points and eight rebounds.
The Falcons are off until next Tuesday, Jan. 24, when they host the undefeated New Berlin Eisenhower Lions (12-0, 10-0) at 7:30 p.m.
