Whitnall to Host Huge Youth Football Scrimmage

Largest Youth Football Scrimmage in the State?

Is it Really?
“If it’s not the largest football scrimmage in the state period, I would be surprised.” Whitnall Youth Football & Cheer Board Vice President and Scrimmage Director said with a smile. “Even if it’s not, it’s quite a fun day of football for sure.”

Whitnall Middle School Football Fields will be alive Saturday, August 15, 2015 with over 25 AAYFL youth football teams coming to town for the Whitnall “Hit It!” Scrimmage 2014. This event has become one of – if not Southeastern Wisconsin’s largest youth football scrimmages with 7 different schools represented from the area.

Grades 7 and 8 will be in the morning session from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon. The 5th and 6th Grade Teams take the fields at 12:15 and go until 4:15.

The Format: There will usually be 3 match-ups going on at any one time. So there is plenty of action to choose from for the spectators. Well over 50 different scrimmages will be played during the course of the day.

“They go head-to-head for 30 minutes, 15 minutes on offense then 15 on defense usually and coaches have access to the field to make the most of all teaching opportunities.” Hausch said

Pack a few lawn chairs and get ready for some football:
You’ll see a few locally interesting match-ups at the 8th grade level as Greenfield vs. Hamilton and Whitnall vs. Muskego should provide some insight as to the futures of these programs and local rivalries.

If you love football at any level, this is a great day to grab the kids, the grandparents and get out to Whitnall Middle School, 5025 South 116th Street.

Full Concession Stand and T-shirts sales will be available starting at 8:00 a.m. - please refrain from carry-ins as this is Whitnall Youth Football & Cheers largest fundraising event of the year.
