• Whiz Kids' Accomplishment: Both wrestlers will be representing GHS at the WIAA Division 1 State Individual Wrestling Tournament, which begins Thursday in Madison.
• Whiz Kids' Key to Awesomeness: Krueger allowed just one point in the sectional tournament at GHS on Saturday to secure his first-ever state tournament berth. The 140-pounder also became the ninth member of the school's 100 career-victory club with a win in his sectional semifinal match. Later that afternoon, Wirtz the 100-win club himself when he won his 130-pound second-place wrestleback in double overtime to secure his second straight trip to state.
