Patch Whiz Kids of the Week: The Whitnall Powerlifting Team

• Whiz Kids' Names: Keng Xiong, Ryan Lepkowski, Alex Dellis, Nate Marshall, Danny Voelkel, Zach Harenda, Nate Stemo, Rob Hansen, Danny Wahl, Alex Hardy, Jake Hardy, Justin Nawrocik and Linnzy Gely.
• Whiz Kids' School: Whitnall High School
• Whiz Kids' Accomplishment: The Falcons' powerlifting team won the national championship, ending a 14-year run of a school in Pennsylvania.
• Whiz Kids' Key to Awesomeness: After winning their third straight state championship earlier this month, the Falcons moved on to bigger and better things last weekend thanks in large part to four individuals. Marshall, the 2009 and 2011 state champion and 2008 and 2009 JV national champion, defended his national championship crown by setting five American records and three national records. Xiong, a two-time state champion, won his first national championship and is the owner of five state record. Lepkowski, another two-time state champion, was second at the national meet, as was Dellis.
