Wisconsin's 100 Safest Towns In 2017: Is Yours On The List?

A security industry advisor has it's own idea of what it considers to be a safe town in Wisconsin. And you may be surprised by what you see.

Safewise has rated the 100 towns in the state that it considers "shining examples of Wisconsin’s commitment to safe streets for all citizens."

The twenty safest Wisconsin cities recognized this year all boast civic-minded programs that help keep their residents safe. These cities put together safety camps, neighborhood watch organizations, and programs that combat drinking and driving.

Eighteen of the cities on Safewise's list reported fewer than ten violent crimes, according to the FBI’s most recent data. And two of them—Bayside and the Village of East Troy—had zero violent crimes. Overall, there were fewer than ninety total violent crimes reported among all twenty of the state’s safest cities.

In addition, every city on Safewise's list boasts violent crime and property crime rates that are below both the national and state averages. To top it off, Oregon and Muskego are also among the top 100 safest cities in the country.
