While Greenfield police were on scene with the vehicle, off duty Milwaukee Police Officer stopped and informed officers that he was traveling southbound on 27th Street at Layton Avenue when he observed the vehicle heading towards him in his lane.

The off-duty officers reportedly used a snap steer to avoid a head on collision with the wrong way Nissan, the complaint said.

After the odor of alcohol was detected on Perez-Robles, police say he was asked to provide a chemical sample of his breath and he refused to do so.

According to the complaint, he was issued an OWI first offense that will be handled in the City of Greenfield Municipal court. Police also noted that the defendant did not have a valid driver’s license.
