XPerience Fitness Death Ruled Accidental: Report

GREENFIELD, WI — The Milwaukee County Medical Examiner's office says that the death of a Franklin man at a pool inside Xperience Fitness in Greenfield was accidental.

According to a report from the Milwaukee County Medical Examiner's office, Fedja Korjenic, 31, of Franklin, was found at the bottom of a pool in Xperience Fitness, 6251 S. 27th St. just before 10:30 p.m. on Aug. 13.

According to a Journal Sentinel report, Greenfield Fire Department chief Mark Dahlman said there were no witnesses to the incident, as the facility is open 24 hours a day and the pool is not staffed by lifeguards.

According to the report, bystanders and first responders pulled Korjenic from the water and began life-saving measures, to no avail.

The Medical Examiner's office says that the cause of Korjenic's death is awaiting a toxicology report.
