Part 3 ( Because of Patch format and length of letter )

The First Amendment ( and WI Constitution Article 1 sec. 3 ) limits how they ( the gov’t / Village of HC including the Public Library ) may regulate speech. Courts have repeatedly held that “public comment” sections of board meetings are a “limited public forum” that is subject to FIRST AMENDMENT PROTECTED SPEECH. By REVOKING the “public comment” section of the Board meetings you are censoring our opinions on the porn and sexually perverse books in Hales Corners Public Library. The Director and library Board of trustees NEED to re-instate “public comment” sections at their monthly meetings. This is our First Amendment right of FREE SPEECH.

A CALL TO ACTION: Please contact Hales Corners Public Library to let them know your view point on them REVOKING our PUBLIC COMMENT section of the monthly Board of trustees meeting. THEY just REMOVED your FREEDOM OF SPEECH for FOREVER at those meetings. Our tax dollars are funding this Public Library THEREFORE we have a RIGHT to say which books belong in this library or not!
