UPDATE: Kali Bookey Held on $250,000 Bond; Accused of Slitting Throat of Brother's Girlfriend

Kali Bookey told her victim she was "a psychopath and that (the victim) was her first kill and she was probably going to kill again."

HUDSON, WI β€” After hearing an argument from the defense Friday, a St. Croix County judge kept the bond for 15-year-old Kali Bookey at $250,000 cash. Bookey has been accused of slitting the throat of her brother's girlfriend and is charged with First Degree Intentional Homicide.

According to a report from the Pierce County Herald, St. Croix County Circuit Judge Eric Lundell summed up his justification for the continued bail with a one sentence explanation: she told her victim she was β€œa psychopath and that (the victim) was her first kill and she was probably going to kill again.”

Defense Attorney John Kucinski argued for a lower bond, stating: β€œShe has no assets to go anywhere, anyway.. I don’t find any objective reason why she wouldn’t appear.”
