Person In Custody After Evacuation Near Hudson Church

HUDSON, WI — A person is in custody after a large law enforcement response and evacuation near Faith Community Church in Hudson on Tuesday morning, authorities said.

Earlier in the day, officials ordered anyone within 800 yards of 777 Carmichael Road to evacuate due to what police described as an active threat and law enforcement activity in the area.

Just after noon, the St. Croix County Sheriff’s Office said there is no threat to the public and that a subject has been taken into custody in connection with the incident.

Hudson Police said more information will be issued later Tuesday.
