Alcohol Likely Factor In 27-Year-Old's Death: Authorities
Authorities say Timothy E. Hoffman was behind the wheel when his car left the road and struck a tree.

ST. CROIX COUNTY, WI -- Authorities say alcohol is likely a factor in the Saturday death of a 27-year-old Hudson man.
According to the St. Croix County Sheriff's office, 27-year-old Timothy E. Hoffman of Hudson was driving west on Coulee Trail just after 5 a.m. on Saturday, March 30, when his car veered off the road, entered the ditch on the north side of the road, crossed over the road, went over a driveway and struck a tree.
Sheriff's officials say the car came to rest in the driveway of a home on the 600 block of Coulee Trail and that Hoffman was not wearing his seat belt at the time of the crash. Hoffman was taken to Regions Hospital in St. Paul by Life Link helicopter.
