United Way Continues Partnership with Youth Service Bureau

Youth Service Bureau is proud to be supported by the United Way!

Since 2002, United Way St. Croix Valley has helped YSB strengthen youth and families throughout St. Croix, Pierce and Polk counties.

“United Way funding helps us keep our commitment to providing services to youth and families regardless of income level or access to health insurance coverage,” says Mary E. Planten-Krell, YSB’s Executive Director.

Thanks to this support, YSB is hosting its second class through New Richmond Community Ed on Oct. 4 and 5. The course titled Alcohol and Drugs: Community Trends and Parenting Tips provides information about common drugs, their effects and the laws around their use.

“It’s important for people to understand what’s out there, signs of use and how to talk to their teen about concerns,” states Amber Marko, YSB Community Justice Coordinator and leader of this program.
