UPDATE: Hudson Schools Closed Monday Due to Snow Storm
Hudson School District has cancelled classes, activities and school-age care for Monday, Feb. 21, because of weather conditions.

Update (10:25 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 20, 2011): The Hudson School District has cancelled school for Monday, Feb. 21, due to the snow storm. There will be no classes, no activities and no school-age care.

"School will be in session as usual on Monday, February 21st unless weather conditions cause school to be closed. The district will be monitoring weather conditions this evening and into the early morning. We recommend that parents be ready with alternate plans just in case weather conditions cause schools to be closed."

After a brief mid-February thaw, winter is back in Hudson.
The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm warning for our area that went into effect at 6 a.m. Sunday and will remain in effect until noon on Monday.
The has canceled its matinee of Snow White and an evening performance by Ensemble Aventura.
There’s no word yet on whether will be open Monday.
According to the National Weather Service, snow was supposed to start falling late in the morning, which clearly turned out to be true. The heaviest snow will come in the afternoon and evening. Accumulation is projected to to 6- to 13-inches.
The National Weather Service warned that the storm could make for difficult travel with blustery winds creating areas of blowing and drifting snow and advised that people should only travel in an emergency. If you must travel keep an extra flashlight, food and water in your vehicle in case of an emergency.
