Are You Looking For a Way to Get Involved?

St. Croix Valley Rotaract is looking for young professionals who want to get involved and make a difference!

This was the question that I asked myself 4 years ago. What could I do to be involved in the community that had given so much to me? Born and raised in Hudson, I was a 1998 grad of HHS and in 2008 was settled into work and family life. I was looking for something more and found it with Rotaract. The St. Croix Valley Rotaract is a group of individuals ages 18-35 that meet twice a month in Hudson. Rotaract falls under the Rotary family for under adults looking to do good in the community. The time commitment for Rotaract is 2 meetings a month along with a service project and we have social gatherings once a quarter. We ask that our members try and attend 60% of our club functions. And Rotaract dues are easy on the pocket book at $50.00 annually.

Our club is proud to serve many local organzations throughout the St. Croix Valley. We work with Grace Place, Feed My Starving Children, Camp St. Croix, Loaves & Fishes to name a few. We also award two scholarships each year, one to a HHS grad and one to a River Falls graduate. New members bring new ideas to the club and we enjoy expanding our service and social outreach.

Some of our fun events in the past have included: skydiving, snow tubing, white water rafting, kayaking and happy hours on several occasions.

Our club is hosting the 2nd Annual Brew Review next Friday, September 28th at Kilkarney Hills. This is a great way to come and meet some Rotaracters, support our club and enjoy some great craft beer! With over 50 beers to sample, we have something for everyone. 35.00 includes your beer samples, souvenir tasting glass, light appetizers, desserts, live music with the Fifty Fifty band and a silent auction. Tickets can be purchased in advance by calling Alicia Schneider 715-381-6551 or alicia@logomos.com. To learn more about Rotaract we would invite you to a meeting - the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month at 7:00 pm in the community room at Westconsin Credit Union in Hudson.
