St. Croix EDC Elects Officers and Directors at Annual Meeting

St. Croix EDC elected officers: Marian Furlong, president; Paul Schwebach, 1st VP; Chuck Jerrick, 2nd VP; & Lisa Knutson, sec./treas. Jill Gorres & Larry Knegendorf were elected to the SCEDC board.

St. Croix Economic Development Corporation (SCEDC) held its annual meeting on Tuesday, May 14, 2013. Marian Furlong, President and CEO of Hudson Hospital and Clinics, HealthPartners Family of Care, was elected to a 1-year term as president. Furlong previously served as the EDC’s first vice president.

Paul Schwebach was elected first vice president He is the Branch Manager of Royal Credit Union in River Falls.

Chuck Jerrick, Vice President at WESTconsin Credit Union in Hudson, was elected second vice president.

Lisa Knutson, the Store Manager of Village Pharmacy in Baldwin, was elected corporate secretary/treasurer. She also serves on the Baldwin village board.

Woodville resident Roger Humphrey completed his 1-year terms as president and will remain on the board of directors and the executive committee. Humphrey is a real estate agent and investor as well as a Professional Engineer (PE).

Four incumbent directors were re-elected to 3-year terms on the board. They are Dawn Hukai of UW-River Falls, Greg Gerard, a Town of Troy resident, Scott Wagner, Town of St. Joseph resident, and Michelle Erdman, a resident of the Village of Baldwin.

Jill Gorres and Larry Knegendorf were elected to the board. Gorres is an employee benefits specialist with JA Counter & Associates in New Richmond. Knegendorf retired as the General Manager of Baldwin Telecom, Inc. in 2011 but serves on numerous boards, including the Village of Woodville board of trustees.

Tom Schumacher and Ryan Sicard completed their terms on the EDC board. Both held the office of president and served on the executive committee during their terms.

The board also accepted the 2012 financial review from Guinn, Vinopal & Zahradka, LLP.

At the conclusion of the meeting, mementoes were presented to Roger Humphrey for his service as president, and Tom Schumacher and Ryan Sicard for serving on the board.
