Break-in Attempted at RJ's Fresh Meats
Two men leave empty-handed after a break-in attempt at a Hudson butcher shop and grocery.
Cops were called to before 1 a.m. on Friday morning after a passerby saw two white males attempting to get onto the store's roof, according to Officer Dan Jents.
The men forced entry to an outbuilding behind the store, but it didn't appear anything was taken, Jents said. A sign post was used to attempt to break into a cooler in the back of the store, but were unsuccesful. An estimated $250 of damage was sustained to locks and latches.
RJ's owners Rick and Anne Reams arrived at the store after 1 a.m. to secure the buildings and provide information for police.
