Charlie's Barber Shop & Shave Closes
Hudson businessman Paul Rode announced on Facebook Sunday that he had closed Charlie's Barber Shop & Shave after less than a year in business.

, which opened in September 2011, closed up shop on Saturday, owner Paul Rode announced in a Facebook post on Sunday, June 24.
"Charlie's closed due to a difference in business vision between the owner and the barbers," Rode told Patch on Sunday. "I built Charlie's in the spirit of creating jobs and I'm sorry I failed. I take 100 percent of the responsiblity."
Two of the shop's three barbers have retired while the other will work out of a shop just across the border in Lakeland, according to Rode.

"I have learned a lot from this and am ready for my next project," Rode said.
Rode, to one of the company's drivers, also owns . All Charlie's gift certificates will be valid at The Agave Kitchen or Rode buy them back, according to Rode.
