Conan O'Brien Nominated For Smart - Propaganda On Display

I nominate Conan O'Brien for the incredibly smart thing he did on his show recently.  In this clip here we see 20 different anchors of reporters repeat the exact same line.  There is a broad discussion list on what Conan did with this piece but I want to focus on two specific observations:

1) Comedy shows have grown over the years to become a major news resources for our youth.  I agree, it's sad.  When asked about this Jon Stewart said in 2004, "A lot of them are probably high, I'm not sure, coming off of robots fighting and into our show, what we're dealing with out there."

So Stewart believe his viewers are zombies on a reality break and we're cool with being their closest touch to reality.  Hilarious.

But it appears Conan may have become conscious of his complicity in the problem and decided to run the piece.  We may never know, but it does bring up an interesting #2.

2) Did Conan O'Brien just show a group of  "high,...coming off of robots fighting and into our show," a little too much truthiness?  Consider that these weren't just different ABC stations around the US, this transcended channel, news format, anchor gender, delivery, style, and age.  It was like they were doing an audition tape.  Either that or this is the largest mass ESP event in human history.  I'll open the volley and go with A, but I'm open to B if there is new information.

I thought the Brittany Spears lookalike did a nice job.

There are better news sites on the internet to follow that won't treat you like a zombie.  It's time to tell the mainstream media you are through.

To my friends on the red team still believing they can change things from the bottom up I have an idea.  If you want Red team National Committees attention, turn off Rush and Hannity.

We'll talk about Rachel Maddow in a segment all by itself.

Peace
