Cravings Delivered Satisfies Hudson Hunger
Dustin Smith opened Cravings Delivered to bring any Hudson restaurant food to any Hudson resident for $5.

Cravings Delivered is twisting the pizza-perfected delivery service and delivering anything from Hudson to anyone in Hudson for $5.
Dustin Smith opened Cravings Delivered about a month ago and is bringing Hudsonites any food they get a craving for from any restaurant, or restaurants, in town.
“A customer will call me, tell me what they want from what restaurant, or even more than one restaurant if they want. I’ll order it from the restaurant, get it and deliver it to the customer quickly so it will be hot and fresh,” Smith said.

Conceptualization for the company, Smith said, was inspired by busy families.
“They come home from a day of work and don’t want to cook, they just ordered in pizza a few nights ago and really don’t feel like going out. On top of that, nobody wants the same thing from the same place anyway, so it’s an issue,” Smith said.

The first restaurant fee is $5 and for each additional restaurant it’s $1 – Smith said it covers his transportation fees and affords him the ability to put some of the money back into the company.
Currently he’s available for delivery Thursdays-Saturdays from 5-10 p.m. Eventually he’s hoping to expand and be open for the late-night
crowd.
“When everyone’s hanging out at home and they’re just hungry and pizza isn’t going to hit the spot, I’ll be able to deliver whatever they
like,” he said.
His Hyundai Elantra is equipped with a warmer and a cooler to keep food at the intended temperature.
“It’s important to get people the food they ordered how they ordered it,” the businessman said.
Smith is from Hammond and brought his delivery service to Hudson because of the size.
“It’s the closest larger city to Hammond and I thought it’d be the best place to start,” he said. “I wanted to start where there were more
food options for people, and, obviously more people to serve.”
Eventually he’s looking to expand to other cities for delivery and service – next up, River Falls. Also on the expansion table is contracts with non-delivering restaurants.
“For restaurants that currently don’t deliver we can provide a service they don’t and let them compete a little more with the ones that do,”
he said. “It will help them reach a different base of customers and it could be a great partnership.”
He’s also hoping to reach customers online – the company website and the Facebook page both have deals for customers. The number to order is 715-808-1782.
