The Cancer Education & Support Group of Hudson Hospital and Clinics has partnered with Thunder Willow Community Arts, a local working art studio and coffee bar, for a special activity for its June meeting. On Thursday, June 21 at 6:45 pm members of the support group will meet in the Hudson Hospital lobby and then car pool to Thunder Willow Community Arts at 1615 Maxwell Drive (next to Curves).  Participants will learn how to make garden stepping stones; instruction and materials will be provided at a reduced fee of $20 each. All area cancer survivors and caregivers are welcome to participate.

Participants can choose to make a “memory stone” for the Cancer Victory Garden or a stepping stone to take home.  The first-ever Cancer Victory Garden is located in the Hudson Hospital & Clinics Community Gardens behind the hospital. Volunteers have planted vegetables, flowers and installed a resting bench in this “Garden of Hope.”
