A kettlebell or "girya" is a traditional Russian cast iron weight that looks like a cannonball with a handle. The exercise is becoming increasingly popular due to its ability to help with cardiovascular training, weight management and muscle strength building. During kettlebell exercises, a variety of continuous motion swings and lifts are used in balance to work toward a total workout experience.
