A Resolution in Support of President Obama’s Olympic Delegation

WHEREAS, discrimination against gays, lesbians, bisexual, or transgender individuals around the world must stop;
and WHEREAS, this discrimination has engendered parts of our population to openly torture and ridicule these people;
and WHEREAS, we defend the right to pursue happiness in ways that are not harmful to others;
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, we the Executive Committee of the Libertarian Party Pierce St Croix hereby endorse President Obama’s delegation to the Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia.
In politics we need to learn the lesson that it's ok to agree with the other side on fundamental issues like standing openly against discrimination of any sort around the world. It is time to support the right to be who we are so long as it doesn't harm another persons life, liberty, or pursuit of happiness.
We look forward to the Opening Ceremony.
