The slow moving disaster known as "The Affordable Care Act," has just become a little less affordable for workers at the retailer Forever 21, who were stunned to learn over the weekend the company plans to cut workers hours to less than 30, or 29.5 to be exact. This revelation occurred when a disgruntled employee posted an internal memo on their Facebook page last weekend.
The worst news is highlighted by ZeroHedge:
Following this forcible full-time demotion, employees will lose medical, dental, vision and voluntary coverage on Aug. 31 and will no longer accrue paid time off.
While this is soon to be discounted by the Obama White House as the fault of the company and its greedy executives, magic 50th full-time employees all over America are taking it on the chin. There has been no shortage of opportunities to repeal the bill as the Red Team in the House recently had its 40th vote to repeal Obamacare. 0-40 is conviction for sure.
For members of the Blue Team, it's understandable that you want to support your party and its brave expansion. The real question is whether the problem has to reach all the way to you before you rethink your part in the problem. Although one can't honestly fault members for not voting for Tommy, it is the tacit support of the Blue paradigm that halts its demise.
Eventually one will reach the conclusion that the solutions lie outside the red-blue paradigm in an opposite consciousness. We don't need to repeal Obamacare- we need to tear down the two-party political system that led to it.
