How Hudson Voted in the Republican Senate Primary

State voters delivered a victory to former Wisconsin Gov. Tommy Thompson in Tuesday's U.S. Senate primary election, but how did each Hudson precinct vote?

HOW THE STATE VOTED

By now it's no secret that to emerge from the primary for Herb Kohl's U.S. Senate seat. 

Thompson earned the most votes Tuesay with 197,950 (34%). Hedge fund manager and businessman Eric Hovde was just three percentage points behind with 179,793 votes (31%). Former U.S. Rep. Mark Neumann finished third in the race with 132,959 votes (23%). State Assembly Speaker Jeff Fitzgerald collected 71,955 (12%) and finished last among the four contenders.

Thompson now will carry the GOP torch in November and take on Democratic U.S. Rep. Tammy Baldwin for a crucial Senate seat that could swing the balance of control in Washington, D.C.
