Hudson Activists Hope to Put Vinehout on Recall Primary Ballot

Joel Kulow, Dan Hansen and Dan DeMaio spent much of Tuesday outside Hudson polling places gathering signatures in hopes of putting state Sen. Kathleen Vinehout on the governor recall Democratic primary ballot.

If you voted at or on Tuesday, you may have noticed someone holding a Kathleen Vinehout sign and asking for your signature. 

Joel Kulow spent much of the day outside Hudson City Hall collecting signatures to put state Sen. Kathleen Vinehout (D-Alma) on the ballot in the .

Kulow said Vinehout supporters believe much of the Milwaukee-area vote could be split among multiple candidates from that part of the state, which could leave an opening for Vinehout to pick up votes from the rest of the state.

Kulow wasn't alone in his efforts on Tuesday. Dan Hansen and Dan DeMaio worked much of the day at Hudson Town Hall.

Hansen said that in order to get on the ballot, Vinehout must turn in at least 2,000 valid signatures to the Government Accountability Board. The Vinehout campaign is asking its supporters to collect 4,000 signatures and turn them in on Saturday, April 7.
