After trailing by as much as three points, the Raiders tied St. Paul three times, including twice in the 4th quarter, but could not hold on in the end and lost by one point, 9-10 at St. Paul's McMurray Field this past Tuesday.
St. Paul jumped off to a quick 0-3 lead before Junior Joey Hernandez scored for Hudson. Sophomore Carter Schuett took a shot on goal, which the St. Paul goalie caught in his stick. However, when the goalie brought his stick back for the clearing pass, the ball slipped out and into the net. St. Paul scored one last goal for a score of 2-4 after one quarter.

Junior Adam Lipps scored to start the 2nd quarter, and then Hernandez tied the game 4-4. A Hudson penalty put St. Paul a man up and they scored to end the half 4-5.
St. Paul started the third quarter with two quick goals to put Hudson behind 4-7. Then a perfect pass from Junior Henrik Wiesemeyer to set up an inside shot by Lipps ended the 3rd quarter and started a Hudson scoring run.

Wiesemeyer scored to open the 4th, and Sophomore Will Reece scored off a pass from Sophomore Stephen Tripicchio to tie the game 7-7.
St. Paul regained the lead with a goal, but Wiesemeyer tied the game again at 8-8. St. Paul pulled ahead again by one, then stretched the lead to 2 with a goal that dribbled in off of Hudson’s goalie for a score of 8-10. Hernandez scored his third goal, but time ran out on the Raiders who lost 9-10.
