REPLAY: Hudson Rips Eau Claire Memorial, 31-0; Raiders to Face Bay Port on Neutral Field

The Hudson Raiders shut out the Eau Claire Memorial Old Abes, 31-0, in the WIAA Level 1 Football Playoffs Friday night at Newton Field. Next week the Raiders will face Bay Port, but the game won't be played in Hudson.

UPDATE (9:30 p.m., Oct. 19, 2012*): The Hudson Raiders shut out the Eau Claire Memorial Old Abes, 31-0, in the WIAA Level 1 Football Playoffs Friday night at Newton Field.

Next week the Hudson Raiders will face Bay Port High School in a tough Level 2 matchup. The game will be played at 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 26, in Chippewa Falls.

On Friday, the Bay Port Pirates came from behind to defeat D.C. Everest, 19-17. In 2012, the Pirates went 7-1 in the Fox River Classic Conference losing only their final game of the regular season to a tough Green Bay Southwest squad.

Going into the final week of the regular season, Bay Port was ranked at No. 4 and Hudson was ranked at No. 7 in Division 1. Hudson finished out the season with a convincing victory over Menomonie (which was ranked No. 4 in Division 2) while Bay Port fell to Green Bay Southwest (which was ranked No. 3 in Division 2).

On the other side of the bracket, Stevens Point emerged after four overtimes to defeat Green Bay Preble, 43-35. Appleton North rolled over Superior, 35-0, on Saturday afternoon.

ORIGINAL POST: The Eau Claire Memorial Old Abes (4-4, 4-3 Big Rivers) will visit Newton Field to face the undefeated Big Rivers Conference champion Hudson Raiders (8-0, 7-0 Big Rivers) in the 2012 WIAA Level 1 Football Playoffs tonight at 7 p.m.
